In September 2005, Ken Persel, a veteran staffing executive, launched P5 Marketing - to provide consulting and direct hire placement services for marketing professionals.   In order to achieve scale and grow the business, Ken teamed up with long-time friend Mike Gardner, a seasoned marketing executive.   Mike joined P5 in April 2007 as business partner and shortly thereafter, they both realized there was a tremendous opportunity to create a new breed of firm - to help marketing pros not just find jobs - but to help them find jobs they love.

In December 2007, we launched Persel | Gardner, a company whose mission is clear:
